CNST Fills the Need for a Dedicated Educational Foundation

  • Neuro-oncology is a diverse and ever changing field, and clinicians must give it their constant attention to stay current on trends and findings.
  • Continuing education is needed to address CNS malignancies and their incidence (29.5/100,000).
  • Glioblastomas are the most common and typically the most aggressive primary tumor that develops in the CNS, but oligodendrogliomas and anaplastic astrocytomas also occur frequently.

CNST Focus Areas for Clinician Education

  • Newest trends, state-of-the-art advancements in neurosurgery for CNS malignancies, novel treatment strategies, and newly approved agents for specific CNS malignancies.
  • Key factors to consider when developing individual patient treatment plans, including quality-of-life issues that should be incorporated into management strategies.
  • Improving patient care, instituting meaningful practice changes, and monitoring the results with unique outcomes measurement methodologies.

Educational Concepts in Medicine (ECM) specializes in the executive management of educational programs sponsored by non-profit educational foundations and independent providers. With expertise in the logistical support for and technical development of both live, on-site and web-based learning activities, ECM partners with disease experts and planning faculty to produce education that is both interesting and practical to the learner. More importantly, feedback and commentary from learners continually confirm that ECM-produced programs are preferred by clinicians seeking clinically relative and informative education.
